In Loving Memory of...

Shah Jameel

Bey Shah X Baskeena by Bask+++

April 1, 1981 - June 3, 2002

Shah Jameel is a fourth generation Walton bred horse. Lester and Jennie Walton were one of America's best breeders of their time. The influence of the Waltons is still present in top winning horses today. The Waltons were the breeders of Bey Shah. When Lester and Jennie decided to sell Bey Shah they needed a horse that was not only be Bey Shah's equal but would surpass the great Bey Shah. Who better than one of Bey Shah's own sons. That son was Shah Jameel. The Waltons were so impressed by the big black bay stallion that they went against their own practice and bred Shah Jameel as a two year old instead of waiting until his three year old year. Unfortunately both Lester and Jennie would pass before they could enjoy what Shah Jameel had to offer.

Jameel was then purchased by Bill Amidon or Galadon Arabians in New York. There Jameel was on of the main stallions of Bill and Glen's Arabian, Half Arabian and National Show Horse program. Jameel was shown to many Championships in Halter and at Liberty with Bill and during this time he also sired some outstanding Arabians and Half Arabians.

I already miss him whinning at me every morning and evening when
I go to the barn to feed. He's a great horse and I only hope that his
greatness lives on through his foals.
